By participating in this course all S1 pupils will be able to:

engage with and create a wide range of texts in different media, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by ICT;
gain the skill and confidence to embrace and use technologies;
learn about where to find help and resources to inform choices;
engage in activities that encourage enterprising attitudes;
develop an understanding of concepts that encourage enterprise and influence business;
understand that successful independent living requires financial awareness, effective money management, using schedules and other related skills;
become informed consumers and producers who have an appreciation of the merit and impacts of products;
reflect on individual strengths and skills to help them make informed choices when planning next steps;
communicate, collaborate and build relationships;
establish firm foundations for lifelong learning.
